Review: L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

Whenever seasons change, I always like to change my foundation routine. When the weather change, your skin needs change as well, so you have to adapt your skin care routine and your foundation routine.
I chose the L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation as my Summer foundation and it will be with me throughout the Fall as well.

What it promises: "Flawless skin as if lift-from-within.

With age, skin can becomes dull and tired. L'Oréal Paris Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation helps give instant skin radiance. You will be glowing inside and out.
Light texture, let's skin breathe with 24 hours of hydration."

I have combination-oily skin that is acne prone. I also have really sensitive pale skin and this foundation didn't broke me out or irritated my skin which is a plus.
Even though this foundation gives you a glow, it doesn't made my already oily skin oilier that's why it worked for me, so if you have oily skin, I don't think you'll have to shy away from this foundation, specially if you set it with a good powder.

My shade C1 Rose Pearl

I have pale skin with neutral undertones which means that I can go with yellow or rosy tones. Because this foundation was for the summer I chose a rosy tone that would be a little deep than my natural skin tone, and it blended perfectly! The texture of the foundation is quite runny which didn't bother me at, after all is supposed to be a light foundation!

Without any make-up

Here's my pale face without any make up on. I'm breaking out a little bit on my forehead (new college anxiety) and I have huge dark circles as you can see. The only thing I have in these pictures are a moisturizer and a lip balm!

Only with the foundation on

Here's two pictures with me only wearing the foundation and you can see how it photographs with and without any flash. I applied it with the Jemma Kidd flat top foundation brush as I don't like to apply this foundation with my hands, the finish is much shiny that way.
As you can see, it didn't cover up my breakouts that well because the coverage is light and if I build it up it only gets greasier so a layer is fine. It gave a healthy glow to my skin and my dark circles weren't as noticeable. It didn't cover my redness as well, but that's what concealers are for right?
I use two pumps to cover all my face and neck and it's enough. When I set it with powder it lasts on my skin 6 to 8 hours tops, so it's not that long wearing but it could be worse!

Full make-up

Here's the finished look! I settled the foundation with the Make Up Forever HD Powder and it took some of the shine away. This foundation doesn't have spf in it but it definitely doesn't photograph that well I must say, it could be better. But for the naked eye, the foundation is seamless on your skin and it doesn't exaggerate your pores which is always a plus for me.
Overall is a great foundation, specially if you don't have that much problem areas to cover and just want a everyday light foundation!

I bought mine from feelunique.com as here in Portugal the cost of it is much more expensive and my shade isn't even available here!

I hope you found this review helpful, any question feel free to ask them on the comments,

The Body Shop HoneyMania Haul

If you know me at all, you are familiar with my obsession with The Body Shop since I was like 12 years old and the first shop in Portugal opened. I love their products and their ethics, and even though there are some controversy about them joining the L'oreal group, I couldn't care less, because their philosophy is the same as always: To create good products for your skin without damaging the Earth.

If you know me at all as well, you would know that I love honey. The scent of it, the taste...everything! So I was super excited when I saw the new Honeymania products made with community fair trade honey available in Portugal shops!
I wish I could've bought the whole collection now, but I couldn't, so for now I bought these three amazing products that I'll share with you today!

First I'll start with the Honeymania Eau de Toilette! This fragrance has a wonderful sweet and floral scent that stays beautifully on your skin, specially if you wear the other products of the range underneath. It smells exactly like the other products, but it's much more light and floral, which is something I like. My boyfriend loved the scent of this and the body butter, he couldn't stop smelling me all day!

Next we have the Honeymania Body Scrub! This has to be one of my favorite scrubs of all time, I confess. It has a wonderful scent, just like the other Honeymania products, but it's rich consistency scrubs your dead skin cells away while leaving your skin silky smooth and hydrated! I don't have dry skin, so a lot of rich creams and scrubs can leave a residue on my skin, but this one doesn't. If you only can buy one of the things from this collection, I would say give this one a go, it's amazing!

Last thing I bought was the Honeymania Lip Balm which tastes delicious by the way! Even though you can't eat it (shame) you'll have a sweet taste on your lips all day long while rocking some smooth and soft lips. I really loved the smooth and natural look that this balm provided me and it looks good underneath any lipgloss or lipstick you are going for that day.

Lastly, the lovely girl at the counter gave me a sample of the Honeymania Body Botter which smells divine and gives your skin great hydration without leaving an oily residue. Definitely my next purchase from this collection for sure!

To see the rest of the Honeymania collection you can go to their international page here!

And this was my haul from The Body Shop, and it was for sure a good one! I'm really pleased with these products. So have you tried this new collection by The Body Shop?

Hope you found this post helpful,

Marisa

I'm Back!

Welcome to the second chapter of my beauty blog! It's been years since I last blogged and since then, a lot in my life as changed.

The name of this blog changed as well, it was called anne-marie-bardot and now it's called My Beauty Tea Cup! I explain everything on my About section so I'm not going into detail about it in this post!

I'm really excited to start blogging again as it's been a long time coming. I feel like I have so much to share, and it's not all about beauty!
Even though beauty reviews and tips has been the main focus on this blog (and still will be) I do want to share more things I've learned about health, style, fitness and so on. Years a go when I stopped blogging I discovered Yoga and it changed my life completely. So I'll definitely will be sharing some yoga insight with you as well.

With youtube videos and everything, blogging as been put in the back corner for a lot of people. Maybe because watching videos is more fun for some people than reading and watching pictures, still I love blogs and it's the first source I go for reviews of beauty products.

I love to write and read, so blogging is certainly an outlet for me, something that keeps me going and shelters me from the real world a bit... a hobby!

Now, at almost 24 years old, I started a new chapter of my life. I no longer feel stuck in expectations and in a life that is not mine (I'll post something about this along the way), my passion for sharing my beauty insights has come to me again and it just feels right!

I hope you all join me in this new chapter, and if you have some tips and tricks about blogging or whatever feel free to share with me!

You can now follow me on Twitter and Instagram if you want. I mostly wright Portuguese on my twitter but everything that's about beauty or so, I make sure it's in English, so let's be friends on there ;)

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Until the next post, xoxo
